Main Goals: The Graduate Program in Philosophy at Unifesp seeks to train leading researchers in their fields in order to act with rigor and originality in the philosophycal research, taking part in the contemporary debates on the History of Philosophy and on recent issues corcerning politics, society, culture, science and art.
Proposal: The curricular structure of the Graduate Program in Philosophy follows the usual structure of most Brazilian graduate programs: attendance at disciplines (with credit assignment), the writing a dissertation or a thesis (with the attribution of credits), the fulfillment of the Teacher Improvement Program (for CAPES scholarship holders) and the engagement at the activities of the Brazilian philosophical community by attending conferences such as the ANPOF meetings and the conferences organized by the Program Faculty.
The required credits in disciplines for the Master’s degree are 24; for the Doctorate, 36.
