The credentialing and re-accreditation of supervisors follow Section II of the Internal Regulation of Graduate Studies and Research of the Federal University of São Paulo:
1. Postgraduate supervisors should hold a doctor degree.
2. The scientific production of the supervisor is mandatory criteria at evaluation of accreditation and re-accreditation.
3. The accreditation of supervisors is awarded by the Postgraduate and Research Council, at the request of the Postgraduate Teaching Commission, and is heard by the PGPq Board of the University Unit.
4. The re-accreditation of supervisorsis attributed to the Postgraduate Council after hearing the Technical Committee of the area, being carried out in a continuously every 3 years for Programs with concept 3, 4 and 5, and every 6 years for Programs with concept 6 And 7.
5. The criteria for accreditation and re-accreditation of supervisors will be periodically reassessed by the Postgraduate and Research Council based on suggestions from the Technical Committees.
6. The Postgraduate Teaching Commission has the prerogative of, at any time, to request the accreditation of supervisors to the Postgraduate Research Council.
