Necessary documents for the application and enrollment:
Master’s Degree program
To apply for the selection process of new graduate students, the following documents are required:
- Certificate of conclusion of residency in Otolaryngology or Head and Neck Surgery (for M.D.s) or certificate of specialization (for other health professionals)
- Board certification in Otolaryngology or Head and Neck Surgery;
- Curriculum Vitae (including at least 3 papers published in international journals).
Doctorate Degree (PhD) program
To enroll in the selection process of new graduate students, the following documents are required:
- Certificate of conclusion of residency in Otolaryngology or Head and Neck Surgery (for M.D.s) or certificate of specialization (for other health professionals)
- Board certification in Otolaryngology or Head and Neck Surgery;
- Board certification issued by the respective federal board (for other health professionals);
- Certificate of conclusion of a Master’s degree program, including publication of the thesis in a high-impact journal;
- 2 (two) recommendation letters (except for UNIFESP alumni);
- Curriculum Vitae (including at least 5 papers published in international journals)
Before applying for a position in one of our graduate programs, the candidate must contact one of the mentors of our institution (preferably one who has an expertise or a similar line of research as in your pretense thesis). The e-mail of the mentors and their respective line of research is included in menu on the left. The candidate must send an introductory letter, the recommendation letters, and the line of research that the candidate plans on following during his program.
After contacting a prospective mentor, the candidate must write a research project, which will be subjected to the evaluation of the Ethics Committee of our institution. Then, the candidate will be subjected to a final evaluation, to be performed by the Special Post-Graduation commission.
The application and enrollment can be done anytime between February and December.
After acceptance, the graduate student must apply for a grant in any national or international institution (e.g., FAPESP).
Once selected, the student may apply for a scholarship (accordingly to their availability).
To apply for a position in our graduate program, the following steps are required:
- Choose a prospective supervisor, based on their Line of Research;
- Contact the mentor with the necessary documents (as listed on the “student selection” link in the menu on the left).
The candidate must also contact the secretary of the program (Maria José) to schedule an appointment with the prospective supervisor and their contact information.
