The Postgraduate Program in Evidence Based Medicine was founded in 1996; in 2014th Program name was changed to Postgraduate Program in Evidence Based Health. The Program aims to promote the application of scientific methodsin the clinical area to uncover new knowledge, link academic research with the clinical practice,and increase efficiency by using scientific data toreduce uncertainties.
The objectives are production of scientific publications in the clinical area, useful evidence-based syntheses to aid in decision making, development of methodologies for implementation, and understanding of the relationship between science/technology and human health through clinical research of high methodological rigor, with an emphasis on Systematic Reviews and Meta-analyses and Health Technology Assessment.
