PhD in Education from the Faculty of Education of the University of São Paulo. Post-Doctorate at the same institution and internship at Fondazione Istituto Gramsci, Rome, Italy. Develops research in the field of public policies for education and educational management, focusing on the analysis of educational policies. Her main interest lies on the relationship between the State and private agents in the formulation and implementation of educational policies and in the management of public education. The epistemological perspective that guides her studies and research is the historical-dialectical materialism, based especially on the writings of Karl Marx and Antonio Gramsci.
