Undergraduated in Pedagogy from the Pontifical Catholic University of São Paulo (1972), Master's in Education: Philosophy of Education from Pontíficia Universidade Católica-SP (PUC-SP, 1976) and Ph.D. in Education: Philosophy of Education from the same institution (1984). Postdoctoral internship at Columbia University (2001-2002). Professor at the PUC-SP (1973-2006). Recent researches focus on the History of Education in Brazil and the United States, with an emphasis on the themes: printed matter (journals in particular), intellectuals and the transnationalization of educational patterns. Research group leader: History of education-intellectuals, institutions, prints. Vice-leader of the study and research group; Childhood, Culture and History (GEPICH). Member of the National Association of History (ANPUH), the National Association of Researchers and Teachers of the History of the Americas (ANPHLAC), the History of Education Society (HES), the Brazilian Societ y for the History of Education (SBHE). Senior researcher at CNPq. Visiting professor at UNIFESP- campus de Guarulhos, where she teaches, researches and supervises dissertations and theses at the Education Graduate Program.
