Daniel Revah graduated in Pedagogy from the College Of Education at USP in 1985, is a Master in Sociology from the College Of Philosophy, Letters and Human Sciences at USP (1994), PhD in Education from the College Of Education at USP (2004) and postdoctoral studies in Argentina, at the Facultad Latinoamericana de Ciencias Sociales (2015). He is an associate professor in the Department of Education at the Federal University of São Paulo in the area of Philosophy of Education and acts as an advisor in the Graduate Programs linked to this department. In his research he investigates basic education in Brazil and Argentina, focusing on representations about subjects (teachers, students, etc.), pedagogical practices and knowledge, in the period that extends from the 1960s to the present. His research has as main theoretical reference the assumptions of the new cultural history and the conceptual field of psychoanalysis.
