He holds a medical degree from the Federal University of São Paulo (1986), a Pediatric Residency from the Federal University of São Paulo (1990), a Pediatric Intensive Care Research Fellowship from the University of Minnesota (1994), and a Clinical Fellowship in Pediatric Intensive Care of Maryland (1997), Fellowship of Research in Pediatric Pulmonology, Johns Hopkins University (1997), PhD in Sciences, Federal University of São Paulo (2002). He currently belongs to the clinical staff of the Sleep Institute, where he coordinates the ambulatory of respiratory sleep disorders in children and the service of non-invasive mechanical ventilation in patients with neuromuscular diseases. He currently belongs to the clinical staff of the Albert Einstein Hospital, and is a member of the Editorial Board of the Brazilian Journal of Pulmonology and the Jornal de Pediatria. She has experience in Pediatrics, Pediatric Intensive Care and Sleep Medicine. Research lines: obstructive sleep apnea, sleep breathing disorders, awakening, neuromuscular diseases, mechanical ventilation, pulmonary circulation.
