Degree in Psychology from Paulistana Faculty of Science and Letters (1997) and Biochemistry Pharmacy at the Pontifical Catholic University of Campinas (1988). Master (1995) and PhD (1998) in Psychobiology at the Universidade Federal de São Paulo (UNIFESP). Currently Psychobiology Department Professor of the UNIFESP. Research Center Coordinator on Health and Substance Use (nepsis) and the Regional Reference Center in Crack and Other Drugs - RRC-DIMESAD-UNIFESP. Research focused on psychosocial aspects related to psychotropic use and its health implications, both with epidemiological framework and the qualitative as well as clinical trials and community evaluation of preventive and therapeutic interventions, in view of the development and cognitive psychology. Main topics of study: alcohol / drugs among people in social vulnerability; Relapse prevention based on Mindfulness; drug use, violence and family.
