  1. Ideal time span to conclude the Master’s Thesis.

  2. Maximum time span for the deposit of the Master’s Thesis.

  3. Minimum number of credits required for the Master’s Thesis

  4. Maximum time after enrollment for approval by the Examining Committee for the Qualifying Exams.

  5. Requested for the Qualifying Exams (see also Proficiency test). Native speakers of English are waived from the Proficiency test.

 

PS (1): Credits acquired in the master's degree at the Graduate Program in Chemistry (Unifesp), except A3 and credits acquired for participation in congresses and publication of articles, can be accounted for the doctorate.

PS (2): Credits acquired as a special student in the courses of the program can be inserted into the transcript after enrollment. The student must forward the request to the secretary.

PS (3): Credits acquired in other institutions prior to the enrollment CAN NOT be used as credits in the Graduate Program in Chemistry (Unifesp).

Master's: 25

Doctorate: 40

To obtain the master's degree, the student must:

1) Acquire the credits in the mandatory courses: A1, A2, A3, and A5 The student can acquire the A1 credits (TFQ) and be exempted from attending it in person if obtains a grade of 6.0 or higher in the test applied annually on the syllabus of the course;

2) Acquire credits from at least 1 course from Group B;

3) The remaining credits to 25 can be acquired in courses of group C, other courses of group B, or in complementary activities provided for in the program's statute.

To obtain the Ph.D. degree, the student must:

1) Acquire the credits in the mandatory courses: A1, A2, A4, and A5 The student can acquire the A1 credits (TFQ) and be exempted from attending it in person if obtains a grade of 6.0 or higher in the test applied annually on the syllabus of the course;

2) Acquire credits from at least 1 course from Group B;

3) The remaining credits to 40 can be acquired in courses of group C, other courses of group B, or in complementary activities provided for in the program's statute.
